David Hiltbrand was born and raised in Brooklyn, and after a variety of jobs ranging from a cab driver in Boston to hoistman in a silver mine in Ouray, CO, he eventually drifted into rock journalism.  He has written record and concert reviews for the New York Daily News, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and People magazine and interviewed everyone from Paul McCartney to Metallica’s James Hetfield.
